Privacy Policy

Effective September 30, 2026

SERENDIPITY LLC ("Serendipity", "we") provides architecture, translation, film and video production, software development and publishing, IT consulting and management, hosting, web portals and news agency services. This policy explains how we process personal data under the Law of Ukraine "On Personal Data Protection", the Law of Ukraine "On Media" and the GDPR.

2. Clients

Contacts, briefs, contracts, property documents for architectural work, and invoices.

3. Documents for translation

Texts sent for translation may contain personal data, sometimes sensitive (for example, legal or medical documents). Translators access them under confidentiality obligations, use them only to translate, and delete source and target files 90 days after delivery unless you ask us to keep them.

4. Filming

People who appear identifiably in our films sign a release describing how footage will be used. Members of the public filmed in public places are not singled out without consent. Raw footage is kept securely and deleted after the agreed archive period.

5. Software, hosting and IT management

When we host or manage systems for clients, the client remains the controller of their data; we act on documented instructions under a data processing agreement. Our own software collects only the data needed for it to work, described in each product.

6. Newsroom and portal

News content may include personal data of people in the public interest, processed for journalistic purposes. Portal users provide name and email to comment. Confidential sources are protected.

7. Purposes and grounds

Performance of contracts, consent (filming, newsletters), journalistic purposes, legal obligations (tax, construction permits), legitimate interests (security of hosted systems).

8. Recipients

Permit authorities for architectural projects, broadcasters and platforms for films (final films only), data centres in Ukraine and the EU, tax authorities. We do not sell personal data.

9. Retention

  • Translation files: 90 days after delivery.
  • Architectural documentation: at least 10 years.
  • Raw footage: as agreed with the client, by default 2 years.
  • Hosted data: contract term plus 30 days.

10. Your rights

You may access, correct and delete your data (subject to legal retention and journalistic exemptions), restrict or object to processing, obtain a portable copy and withdraw consent. We reply within 30 days. Complaints may be addressed to the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights or an EU supervisory authority.
